Yes I seriously just referred to myself as Kthom. And I said hizzous instead of house. It happens. So, I’m trying out this whole “blog” thing. Since I have friends and fam who live far away. Hopefully, this will let people keep up with my post-college shenanigans. Honestly, I don’t really expect most people to read this, but just incase, I’ll try to keep this up- to-date.
I just graduated from Texas Tech on Saturday May 10, 2008! Yay! I got my bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. No you should not expect to see me on the news…unless it is for a hit and run. I do not want to do anything in the field of journalism, which would have been helpful about four years ago. I just don’t think I would be a very good journalist for the following reasons:
1. I like to make stuff up;
2. I would totally make up quotes from famous people;
3. I don’t really like to pay attention to things that I don’t find interesting, i.e. the news; and
4. That pretty much sums it up.
I don’t really have any clear idea of what I want to do. I would like to work on a college campus because I think I could really make a difference there. I also would like to be a tour guide, although not the kind that wear Smokey Bear hats and cargo khakis up to their bra. Not a good look for this one.
Nicole is still between jobs…and school. She is living the dream. I really just love hanging out with her. She is so much fun. I am really blessed to have such a built-in best friend who is as entertaining as she is.
Ric and LaRhonda are still doing what they do. LaRho is an deaf education teacher for LISD and Ric works at Monterey. And by works at Monterey, I mean he has been off for about a month using his sick days.
Candi is pregnant. She and Kyle are expecting their first child (a girl, Breanna Danielle) in August.
We are all happy and healthy and very blessed by our wonderful friends and family!

Comment by Dianne May 28, 2008 @ 1:31 pmCongratulations again on getting your bachelor’s in 4 years. And even though you may not feel like your major is taking you in a specific direction, God can use that degree in surprising ways for your benefit. I anticipate watching His will unfold for you.
I like your blog and look forward to keeping up with you. Hope your day is exceptional!
